Are you ready for a therapist who accepts the real you?

Meet Catie Guitart, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Certified Trauma Specialist in Attelboro, MA.

Serving all of Massachusetts through virtual therapy

You’ve tried therapy before, but your therapist didn’t get you. You never felt comfortable sharing everything for fear that the “real you” would be judged. Your therapist was critical of your spirituality or lifestyle choices, or thought you should fit into a box that you knew would never be right for you. Maybe some of the things your therapist said were really harmful, and now you’re not sure if you should try again. Or maybe this is your first time coming to therapy, and you know that you need the right person to help you heal - someone who will embrace your unique identity and help you thrive.

I’m Catie Guitart, and I help clients just like you - clients with alternative lifestyles and spirituality - listen to and embrace their inner wisdom so they can heal and thrive.

I help my clients heal from past experiences (in this life or previous ones), manage their emotions, tune in to their inner wisdom, and build lives that are a reflection of their values and goals.

Many therapists who were trained in typical Western schools don’t understand the full range of human experiences, choices, and spiritual beliefs, leading many of their clients to feel like they can’t be themselves. I want to build a relationship that does not judge or pathologize your beliefs or choices and gives you the space to explore your true and authentic self.

I am dedicated to helping people thrive.

My advanced training in trauma means I have the expertise you need and deserve when working with a therapist.  My clients talk to me about their practices with crystals, tarot, or Wicca; their clairvoyance and mediumship experiences; or explore their memories of past lives. Some of them are in the BDSM/Kink community, are in or exploring open or polyamorous relationships, or want to discuss their relationship with gender and sexual identity. What they all have in common is reporting their life doesn’t “fit in” with mainstream norms and expectations, and they need a therapist who is open and affirming. So, when you start therapy with me, you won't just be seeing a trained therapist, you’ll be working with someone who seeks holistic understanding and acceptance of your lifestyle and beliefs.

First, we will spend a few sessions getting to know one another, so I can truly understand your values. Then, we identify goals so I can best help you decide what you want to work on, and the best approach to facilitate your healing. Through our work together, you’ll learn to manage intense emotions, connect with yourself and your community, and heal from traumatic events so you can move forward in a way that aligns with your lifestyle.
